20 of February’s Most Fabulous Events in Your Area- From concerts to cocktail making classes, from car and boat enthusiasts to our 5K runners, Savannah is full of activity during the month of February for everyone. Stroll downtown Savannah with your lover on Valentine’s Day to enjoy “Sips’ and Steaks,” or dance over-yonder for a singles night full of line dancing. We could not forget about the much needed family, fun adventures. Explore museums and hands-on experiences, or take your little girl on an unforgettable experience at the Father-Daughter dance on the River. The events happening here are something you won’t want to miss.                                                                                                                                                                    

REO Speedwagon 

When: Feb. 1st at 7:30 p.m. 

Where: Johnny Mercer Theatre 

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band’s explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.” That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.

Rides On The River

When: Feb. 4th at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Where: Fort McAllister State Historic Park 

Enjoy a day filled with cool rides, local history, and musket firings. Classic car owners are invited to show off their amazing autos and meet fellow automobile enthusiasts.

Those presenting an auto will receive free admission. All other visitors will be required to pay admission to the fort ($10 per person).

Participants: Please plan to stay the length of the event so that all of our visitors can view the cars.

Journey: Freedom Tour 

When: Feb. 8th at 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Where: Enmarket Arena 

For a night full of the smell of wine and cheap perfume, Journey’s Freedom Tour 2023 is coming to Enmarket Arena and we can’t wait to rock out with you! Grab your tickets and get ready to rock all night on February 8, 2023!

Valentine Cocktail Class

When: Feb. 9th at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Where: Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum

We will begin with classic cocktails featuring rum, vodka and tequila and teach the tricks of the trade in upping the flavor profile and making the cocktail extra special. With plenty of space and cocktail trained bar staff, you will learn hands-on how to impress your friends, guests and even yourself! You will also go home with your own cocktail kit to hone your new skills.

Early Morning Behind The Scenes Aquarium Tour 

When: Feb. 11th at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Where: UGA Aquarium Savannah 

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the UGA Aquarium? For the first time ever, visitors are invited to join UGA marine educators as they make their morning rounds an hour before the aquarium opens on Saturdays.

Join our educators as they complete morning checks of our turtles, snakes, invertebrates and fish. Visitors will learn about the care of our ambassador education animals while accessing areas of the aquarium that are not typically open to the public. Animal feedings might also be part of the tour!

Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner

When: Feb. 14th at 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Where: Aqua Star, The Westin 

Join us for dinner and wine pairings at Aqua Star this Valentine’s Day! Starting at 5 p.m. we will be serving Scallops, New York Strip, Oysters, and more!

Broken Hearts Nights At Over Yonder 

When: Feb. 14th 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Whether you’re Johnny and June or a lonely lone star, come out Valentine’s night for some dancing’! Free Texas Two Step and country line dancing lesson starting at 6:00PM.

Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise 

When: Feb. 14th 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Where: Savannah Riverboat Cruises

Join us for our Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise! This 2 hour cruise includes a premium 4-course plated dinner, live entertainment, bottle of house wine or champagne and dancing!!

Savannah Book Festival

When: Feb. 16th- Feb. 19th 

Where: Telfair Square

This 4-day event brings 40 nationally recognized, award-winning authors to the city of Savannah for a celebration of reading and writing. Ticketed, headliner events take place on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Festival Saturday is free and open to the public. Over 35 authors will speak at 7 different venues in historic downtown Savannah, from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Come discover a new favorite author, or catch up with an author you have been following for years.

Whiskey Myers

When: Feb. 19th 7:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Where:  Enmarket Arena

For this band of renegade brothers, the goal isn’t to fit into a format or try a new direction for its own sake, it’s to be true to the music they love — and with Whiskey Myers they continue pushing in all directions and sharpening their attack, whether country, rock, blues, whatever — even adding the legendary McCrary Sisters’ gospel influence to the project on background vocals.

Capathia Jenkins And Cyrille Aimee In Concert

When: Feb. 20th 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Where: District Live at Plant Riverside

On Monday, February 20 at 7pm, the American Traditions Competition judges will perform at the annual favorite event: The Judges’ Concert. Performances will include Grammy-nominated and multi-award-winning jazz artist Cyrille Aimée, and Broadway superstar Capathia Jenkins. Tickets are $30 each.

Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show 

When: Feb. 21st 7:30 p.m.

Where: Johnny Mercer Theater at the Savannah Civic Center

The 25th anniversary production of Riverdance will continue its critically acclaimed tour in over 50 cities across the USA from January to June 2023.

The 30th Annual American Traditions Vocal Competition

When: Feb. 21st 4:00 p.m. until Feb. 24th at 10:00 p.m.

Where: District Live at Plant Riverside 

From February 20-24, 2023, the ATC’s main event The American Traditions Vocal Competition will take place, celebrating 30 years of the competition. Highly-decorated professional vocalists from across the country and world come together for one week in Savannah to compete for $40,000 in cash prizes and the ultimate title of ATC Gold Medalist.

Mania- The ABBA Tribute 

When: Feb. 23rd 8:00 p.m.

Where: Johnny Mercer Theater at the Savannah Civic Center 

Thursday the 23rd of February 2023 is the perfect evening for you to dig out your flares and dance in your platform shoes to some of the top pop songs in the music history, as the best Abba tribute act, Mania – The Abba Tribute, will be at the Johnny Mercer Theatre for an evening concert. Celebrate the timeless classics of the Swedish supergroup with them as they perform, their talent and quality production giving you an unforgettable evening.

The Judds- The Final Tour 

When: Feb. 23rd 7:30 p.m.

Where: Enmarket Arena

Country music icon, Wynonna Judd, announced The Judds: The Final Tour will be continuing on in 2023 with iconic guest appearances coming to Enmarket Arena in Savannah on February 23!

Ghost Pirates Fundraiser For Team Savannah 4 Veterans

When: Feb. 24th 7:30 p.m. 

Where: Enmarket Arena

Join us for a great night of hockey with Savannah’s Ghost Pirates. Be a part of this historical night as the Ghost Pirates and Team Savannah 4 Veterans partner to raise funds for Team Savannah 4 Veterans. Portions of all the ticket sales from this link will go back to Team Savannah 4 Veterans.

Savannah Boat Show

When: Feb. 24th – Feb. 26th, Times Vary

Where: Savannah Convention Center 

The Savannah Boat Show, now in its 20th anniversary, is located on Hutchinson Island, Georgia, overlooking the Savannah River and on the South Carolina border.  This show’s strength is its location, two hours north of Jacksonville, Florida, and two hours south of Charleston, South Carolina providing a natural magnet for attracting boating enthusiasts and exhibiting companies from all three states and beyond.  The show primarily showcases powerboats.  Savannah, like Charleston, is on the coast, which makes it a strong saltwater fishing location.  Each year, fishing experts are on-hand for seminars and demonstrations.  The show also features boats overlooking the Savannah River and other maritime displays and exhibits.  In its history, the show has held shag contests, seafood festivals, live music, and other family entertainment.  It’s one of the few winter boat shows in the country fortunate enough to have a waterfront view.  Whether it’s sunny or inclement weather, there is something interesting for everyone at the Savannah Boat Show.

The Oyster Roast

When: Feb. 25th 2:00 p.m. until 5:00p.m.

Where: Grove Point Plantation

For more than 55 years, the Georgia Conservancy, with the support of individuals like you, has passionately worked to protect and conserve coastal Georgia. With celebration in our hearts and the future of Georgia’s coast on our minds, we cordially invite you to our 2023 Oyster Roast, hosted for its eighth year at Grove Point in Savannah on Saturday, February 25 from 2 PM to 5 PM. The Oyster Roast will feature local oysters and clams from Sapelo Sea Farms, live music, local Georgia beer, and much, much more!

Daddy-Daughter Dinner & Dance

When: Feb. 25th 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Westin Savannah

The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa invites you to the first annual Daddy-Daughter Dinner & Dance on Saturday, February 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m!

$100 per daddy & daughter │ $30 for each additional child

Charlie Fog Band

When: Feb. 25th 7:00 p.m.

Where: Tybee Post Theater

Performing the music of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia, The Charlie Fog Band brings a fully energized show wherever they go. With live interplay between musicians and the crowd, this show will have you rocking out all night long.

Skidaway Island Marathon, Half Marathon & 5k

When: Feb 25th 7:00 a.m.

Where: Skidaway Institute of Oceanography

Run Saturday 19th, at 7am in either the half or full marathon. Enjoy beautiful scenery, a quiet and peaceful course hosted by a local race company. About 300 of our runners will participate in the Marathon and 500 in the half. 200 more will run the 5k. Then enjoy an afternoon in the fabulous Savannah Area. You can tour downtown, hit the beach on Tybee Island or explore the rivers looking for dolphins or fishing.
